A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to appropriating money to the Texas A&M Forest Service to
  assist volunteer fire departments during the next state fiscal
  biennium.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  In addition to amounts appropriated to the Texas
  A&M Forest Service by Senate Bill No. 1, Acts of the 83rd
  Legislature, Regular Session, 2013 (the General Appropriations
  Act), $11,500,000 is appropriated out of general revenue account
  number 5064, Volunteer Fire Department Assistance, to the service
  for each of the fiscal years of the state fiscal biennium ending
  August 31, 2015, for the purpose of assisting volunteer
  firefighters in paying for equipment, personnel training, and
  administration, and for the purpose of staffing and operating costs
  associated with the Statewide Wildfire Protection Plan.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the
  legislative session.
