relating to appropriating money to the Texas A&M Forest Service to | ||

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. In addition to amounts appropriated to the Texas | ||
A&M Forest Service by Senate Bill No. 1, Acts of the 83rd | ||
Legislature, Regular Session, 2013 (the General Appropriations | ||
Act), $11,500,000 is appropriated out of general revenue account | ||
number 5064, Volunteer Fire Department Assistance, to the service | ||
for each of the fiscal years of the state fiscal biennium ending | ||
August 31, 2015, for the purpose of assisting volunteer | ||
firefighters in paying for equipment, personnel training, and | ||
administration, and for the purpose of staffing and operating costs | ||
associated with the Statewide Wildfire Protection Plan. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | ||
legislative session. |
