relating to the repeal of the designation of the Little River | ||
reservoir and the Little River off-channel reservoir as sites of | ||
unique value for the construction of a reservoir. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 16.051, Water Code, is amended by adding | ||
Subsection (g-2) to read as follows: | ||
(g-2) Subsection (g-1) does not apply to: | ||
(1) Little River reservoir, to be located on the | ||
Little River upstream from its confluence with the Brazos River in | ||
Milam County; or | ||
(2) Little River off-channel reservoir, to be located | ||
northwest of the city of Milano in Milam County, on Beaver Creek, a | ||
tributary of the Little River. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
