| relating to application of the Administrative Procedure Act to | ||

| to the compliance review and safety audit program for commercial | ||

| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 2001.221, Government Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 2001.221. [ |

| TRANSPORTATION. This chapter does not apply to a suspension, | ||
| revocation, cancellation, denial, or disqualification of a | ||
| driver's license or commercial driver's license, or to an action by | ||
| the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles related to an order to cease | ||
| intrastate operation under the Department of Public Safety's | ||
| compliance review and safety audit program for commercial motor | ||
| vehicles, as authorized by: | ||
| (1) Subchapter N, Chapter 521, Transportation Code, | ||
| except Sections 521.304 and 521.305 of that subchapter, or by | ||
| Subchapter O or P of that chapter; | ||
| (2) Chapter 522, Transportation Code; | ||
| (3) Chapter 601, Transportation Code; | ||
| (4) Section 644.155, Transportation Code; or | ||
| (5) [ |

| Procedure. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
