BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 86.006, Election Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsections (j) and (k) to read as follows: | ||
(j) A ballot voted under this chapter may not be counted if | ||
delivered by any means other than as provided under Subsection (a). | ||
(k) A ballot voted under this chapter may not be deposited | ||
in an unattended receptacle except for a mailbox or common carrier | ||
receptacle. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
