A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the designation of certain religious holy days as
  optional holidays.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 662.003(c), Government Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (c)  An "optional holiday" includes only the days on which
  Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, All Saints Day, Diwali, Eid al-Adha, Eid
  al-Fitr, Passover, Vaisakhi, Vesak, or Good Friday falls.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
