| relating to the location of water utility rate hearings conducted | ||
| by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 13.041(c), Water Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (c) The commission may call and hold hearings, administer | ||
| oaths, receive evidence at hearings, issue subpoenas to compel the | ||
| attendance of witnesses and the production of papers and documents, | ||
| and make findings of fact and decisions with respect to | ||
| administering this chapter or the rules, orders, or other actions | ||
| of the commission. A hearing under this subsection shall be held at | ||
| a location within the service area of the utility that is the | ||
| subject of the hearing. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
