relating to the inspection of prevailing wage records by certain | ||
counties. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 2258, Government Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 2258.0245 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 2258.0245. RECORD INSPECTIONS BY CERTAIN COUNTIES. | ||
(a) This section applies only to a county with a population of | ||
585,000 or more that is adjacent to a county with a population of 4 | ||
million or more. | ||
(b) A county may designate the county department or officer | ||
responsible for inspecting a record described by Section 2258.024 | ||
to ensure compliance with this subchapter. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
