BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 112, Transportation Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 112.104 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 112.104. ELEVATED HIGH-SPEED RAIL TRACKS. (a) In this | ||
section, "high-speed rail" has the meaning assigned by Section | ||
112.201. | ||
(b) Except as necessary for passenger boarding, high-speed | ||
rail tracks must be elevated on pylons to 40 feet or more above the | ||
ground to allow for the unrestricted movement of pedestrian and | ||
vehicular traffic under the tracks. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
