| relating to the use of hazard warning lamps to warn approaching | ||
| vehicles of stopped traffic. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 547.331, Transportation Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) The operator of the last vehicle in a line of traffic | ||
| stopped on a roadway with a speed limit of at least 55 miles per hour | ||
| may display the vehicle's hazard lamps to warn approaching vehicles | ||
| that traffic is stopped. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
