| relating to publishing on an Internet website notices concerning | ||
| certain National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 26, Water Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 26.0273 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 26.0273. NOTICE CONCERNING NPDES PERMITS. (a) | ||
| Notwithstanding Section 5.552, 5.553, 26.028, 26.040, or any other | ||
| law that requires notice to be published in a newspaper, notice | ||
| concerning an NPDES permit, permit amendment, or permit renewal | ||
| issued under this chapter is sufficient if the notice is published | ||
| on the commission's Internet website. | ||
| (b) The commission shall establish a publicly accessible | ||
| portal on the commission's Internet website that allows a person to | ||
| publish a notice described by this section. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
