A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to information a commissioners court may consider when
  approving a county budget.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 111.065, Local Government Code, is
  amended to read as follows:
         Sec. 111.065.  INFORMATION FURNISHED BY OFFICERS. (a) In
  preparing or monitoring the budget, the budget officer may require
  the county auditor or any other district, county, or precinct
  officer of the county to provide any information necessary for the
  budget officer to properly prepare or monitor the budget.
         (b)  The commissioners court may require the county auditor
  or any other district, county, or precinct officer of the county to
  provide any information the commissioners court considers
  necessary to provide the commissioners court with complete
  information regarding the budget.
         (c)  The commissioners court may consider other funds
  controlled by county officers when approving the budget.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
