| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 775.038, Health and Safety Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (a-1) A commissioner of a district is entitled to receive | ||
| compensation in the same manner and amount as are provided by | ||
| Section 49.060, Water Code. | ||
| SECTION 2. Sections 775.038(a), (b), and (c), Health and | ||
| Safety Code, are repealed. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
