A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to public notice of procedures for submitting complaints
about motor vehicle dealers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2301.201, Occupations Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (a-1) and amending Subsection (b) to read as
follows:
(a-1) The department shall make the information in
Subsection (a) available in a manner to enable the information to be
posted in a public area of each:
(1) department office;
(2) county tax assessor-collector's office;
(3) county attorney's office; and
(4) city attorney's office.
(b) The department [board] shall make the information
available to the public and appropriate state agencies in any other
manner the department considers appropriate.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
