BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 551.009(c), Health and Safety Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||

Kerrville State Hospital shall [ |
||
service, maintenance service, utility service, and lawn care at no | ||
cost to the local mental health authority operating a crisis | ||
stabilization unit on the grounds of the Kerrville State Hospital | ||
as provided by this section. | ||
SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | ||
of this Act, the Kerrville State Hospital and a local mental health | ||
authority operating a crisis stabilization unit on the grounds of | ||
the hospital shall revise any contract involving the provision of | ||
services described by Section 551.009(c), Health and Safety Code, | ||
as amended by this Act, as necessary to comply with that provision | ||
as amended. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
