| relating to importation of liquor by local distributors. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 23.01, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) A local distributor's permittee may: | ||
| (1) purchase and import liquor from a distiller, | ||
| winery, wine bottler, or rectifier who holds a nonresident seller's | ||
| permit; or | ||
| (2) place an order to purchase and import liquor with a | ||
| holder of a manufacturer's agent's permit who is an agent for a | ||
| person described by Subdivision (1). | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
