A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the supervision of the chief of police of a private
institution of higher education's police department.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 51.212, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) The chief of police of the police department of a
private institution of higher education shall be under the
supervision of the chief executive of the institution.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
