| parents by the Department of Family and Protective Services. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. (a) The Department of Family and Protective | ||
| Services shall conduct a study to evaluate whether the department | ||
| provides foster parents with adequate resources to ensure that | ||
| foster parents are able to comply with all of the regulations | ||
| relating to providing care for a child in the conservatorship of the | ||
| department. | ||
| (b) Not later than September 1, 2020, the department shall | ||
| prepare and submit to the legislature a written report containing | ||
| the results of the study and any recommendations for legislative or | ||
| other action. | ||
| (c) This Act expires September 1, 2021. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
