relating to the form of ballot propositions in an election seeking | ||
voter approval for the issuance of school district bonds. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 45.003, Education Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (g-1) to read as follows: | ||
(g-1) The question of whether to approve the issuance of | ||
bonds for repairs to a facility or item described by Subsection (g) | ||
is not required to be printed on the ballot as a separate ballot | ||
proposition. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 45.003(g-1), Education Code, as added by | ||
this Act, applies only to an election ordered on or after the | ||
effective date of this Act. An election ordered before the | ||
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect when the | ||
election was ordered, and the former law is continued in effect for | ||
that purpose. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
