| relating to procedures for amending restrictions governing certain | ||
| residential subdivisions. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 211.002(a), Property Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (a) This chapter applies only to a residential real estate | ||
| subdivision or any unit or parcel of a subdivision located in whole | ||
| or in part within an unincorporated area of a county if the county | ||
| has a population of less than 65,000 according to the 2000 federal | ||
| decennial census or a subsequent federal decennial census. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
