relating to the reporting by an owner of a facility used to store | ||
certain hydrocarbons to the chief appraiser of an appraisal | ||
district of information related to property stored in the facility. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 22.04, Tax Code, is amended by adding | ||
Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
(e) Notwithstanding Subsections (a) and (b), an owner of a | ||
facility that is used to store oil, gas, or other hydrocarbons | ||
produced from wells operated by other persons shall file with the | ||
chief appraiser a report listing as of January 1: | ||
(1) the name of each well operator on behalf of whom | ||
the owner of the facility stores oil, gas, or other hydrocarbons in | ||
the facility; | ||
(2) the types of hydrocarbons stored on behalf of each | ||
well operator; and | ||
(3) the volume of each type of hydrocarbon stored on | ||
behalf of each well operator. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act applies only to the rendition of | ||
property for ad valorem tax purposes for a tax year beginning on or | ||
after the effective date of this Act. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2012. |
