WHEREAS, Deb Shaw of the Midland Independent School District | ||
has been recognized as the 2023 Administrator of the Year by Texas | ||
Thespians; and | ||
WHEREAS, This prestigious honor acknowledges the | ||
contributions of outstanding school administrators who have | ||
demonstrated exemplary support for educational theatre; and | ||
WHEREAS, With more than three decades of experience in fine | ||
arts education, Ms. Shaw has served as Midland ISD's fine arts | ||
director for the past 18 years, and over the course of her tenure, | ||
she has distinguished herself through her passion for the arts as | ||
well as her exceptional organizational and managerial skills; under | ||
her able leadership, the Midland High School theatre program earned | ||
a number of accolades for its performance of A Midsummer Night's | ||
Dream at the Texas Thespians State Festival in San Antonio, | ||
including awards for best costume design, set design, and technical | ||
crew; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through her dedication, expertise, and commitment | ||
to excellence, Deb Shaw has made a positive difference in the lives | ||
of countless students, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in | ||
recognizing this esteemed administrator; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas, | ||
4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Deb Shaw on her selection | ||
as the 2023 Administrator of the Year by Texas Thespians and extend | ||
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Shaw as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives and Senate. |
