| WHEREAS, Deb Shaw of the Midland Independent School District | ||
| has been recognized as the 2023 Administrator of the Year by Texas | ||
| Thespians; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This prestigious honor acknowledges the | ||
| contributions of outstanding school administrators who have | ||
| demonstrated exemplary support for educational theatre; and | ||
| WHEREAS, With more than three decades of experience in fine | ||
| arts education, Ms. Shaw has served as Midland ISD's fine arts | ||
| director for the past 18 years, and over the course of her tenure, | ||
| she has distinguished herself through her passion for the arts as | ||
| well as her exceptional organizational and managerial skills; under | ||
| her able leadership, the Midland High School theatre program earned | ||
| a number of accolades for its performance of A Midsummer Night's | ||
| Dream at the Texas Thespians State Festival in San Antonio, | ||
| including awards for best costume design, set design, and technical | ||
| crew; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her dedication, expertise, and commitment | ||
| to excellence, Deb Shaw has made a positive difference in the lives | ||
| of countless students, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in | ||
| recognizing this esteemed administrator; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas, | ||
| 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Deb Shaw on her selection | ||
| as the 2023 Administrator of the Year by Texas Thespians and extend | ||
| to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Shaw as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives and Senate. | ||
