| WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Killeen are visiting the State | ||
| Capitol on April 13, 2011, to gain further insight into the workings | ||
| of state government; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established in 1986 by the Greater Killeen Chamber | ||
| of Commerce, this exceptional program provides opportunities for | ||
| Killeen residents to increase their knowledge of vital public | ||
| issues and to meet with the legislators and local officials who are | ||
| making decisions that affect this state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Sessions throughout the yearlong program are | ||
| designed to acquaint participants with local issues and to | ||
| encourage them to become effective contributors to the growth and | ||
| direction of their communities; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and involved | ||
| citizenry and to develop new leaders in Killeen, the program is | ||
| helping to build a brighter and more promising future for the Lone | ||
| Star State; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas | ||
| hereby recognize April 13, 2011, as Leadership Killeen Day at the | ||
| State Capitol and extend to the members of the program sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success with their important work; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Leadership Killeen as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives and Senate. | ||
