| WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, | ||
| authorizes the governor to disapprove a bill passed by both houses | ||
| of the legislature and presented to the governor for approval; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, further | ||
| authorizes the legislature, if the legislature is in session, to | ||
| reconsider and approve a bill the governor has disapproved, and as a | ||
| result the bill shall become law; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The governor has disapproved H.B. No. 2138, as | ||
| passed by the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, while the | ||
| legislature is in session; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED by the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas, 1st | ||
| Called Session, 2013, That the legislature in accordance with | ||
| Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, hereby approve H.B. No. | ||
| 2138, and that bill hereby becomes law notwithstanding the | ||
| objections of the governor. | ||
