| WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced | ||
| by a great and enduring love, Charles and Sharon Gass of O'Donnell | ||
| celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 25, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Charles Gass and the former Sharon Brewer were | ||
| united in matrimony in Lamesa in 1961; through the years, they have | ||
| nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with | ||
| the addition of their children and their spouses, Benny and Cindra | ||
| Gass, Don and Penny Forbes, and Corey and Sarah Gass, as well as | ||
| their 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past | ||
| half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant | ||
| in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love | ||
| has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with | ||
| grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Sharon Gass on their | ||
| golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes | ||
| for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gass as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
