| WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories | ||
| of Hector A. Licon of El Paso, who passed away on March 22, 2011, at | ||
| the age of 93; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born on November 5, 1917, Hector Licon graduated | ||
| from El Paso High School; during World War II he answered his | ||
| nation's call to duty, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps; he was | ||
| a valued employee of Parker Brothers for nearly two-and-a-half | ||
| decades; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Licon and his wife, Haydee, enjoyed a rewarding | ||
| marriage of 64 years; they were blessed with five children, Hector, | ||
| Frederick, Martin, Haydee, and Sandra, as well as four | ||
| grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A member of a generation that defended freedom at | ||
| tremendous personal cost, Hector Licon will forever hold a | ||
| treasured place in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in | ||
| his love and affection; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Hector A. Licon and | ||
| extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his | ||
| wife, Haydee Licon; to his sons, Hector A. Licon, Jr., Frederick M. | ||
| Licon, and Martin E. Licon; to his daughters, Haydee R. Acosta and | ||
| Sandra Licon; to his grandchildren, Frederick Licon, Jr., Karl M. | ||
| Licon, Yanette De Gerolami, and Marissa L. Licon; and to his other | ||
| relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hector A. | ||
| Licon. | ||
