WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories | ||
of Hector A. Licon of El Paso, who passed away on March 22, 2011, at | ||
the age of 93; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born on November 5, 1917, Hector Licon graduated | ||
from El Paso High School; during World War II he answered his | ||
nation's call to duty, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps; he was | ||
a valued employee of Parker Brothers for nearly two-and-a-half | ||
decades; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Licon and his wife, Haydee, enjoyed a rewarding | ||
marriage of 64 years; they were blessed with five children, Hector, | ||
Frederick, Martin, Haydee, and Sandra, as well as four | ||
grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, A member of a generation that defended freedom at | ||
tremendous personal cost, Hector Licon will forever hold a | ||
treasured place in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in | ||
his love and affection; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Hector A. Licon and | ||
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his | ||
wife, Haydee Licon; to his sons, Hector A. Licon, Jr., Frederick M. | ||
Licon, and Martin E. Licon; to his daughters, Haydee R. Acosta and | ||
Sandra Licon; to his grandchildren, Frederick Licon, Jr., Karl M. | ||
Licon, Yanette De Gerolami, and Marissa L. Licon; and to his other | ||
relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hector A. | ||
Licon. | ||
