| WHEREAS, In May 2017, Bailey Hall of Mount Pleasant is | ||
| graduating from Chapel Hill High School with honors and a | ||
| distinguished level of achievement while also earning an associate | ||
| degree in accounting from Northeast Texas Community College; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Hall earned her associate degree while still in | ||
| high school by taking as many as 19 hours of coursework per semester | ||
| and attending classes during the summer and between semesters; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Currently vice president of her senior class and the | ||
| student council, Ms. Hall also serves as secretary of her school's | ||
| National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America | ||
| chapters and as a member of FFA, the Spanish Club, and the IDEA | ||
| program; she has excelled in UIL programs, including debate, | ||
| extemporaneous speaking, and theater, and she has been a valued | ||
| member of her school's varsity cheerleading and softball teams; her | ||
| achievements have been recognized with the Young Women in Public | ||
| Affairs Award from Zonta and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An active member of First Baptist Church in Mount | ||
| Pleasant, Ms. Hall has participated in missions with World Changers | ||
| and MissionFuge; she has also led summer activities for children at | ||
| a women's shelter and tutored through the Titus County Reads | ||
| program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Bailey Hall's boundless energy, exceptional | ||
| scholastic ability, and commitment to excellence have opened the | ||
| way to a bright and promising future for this outstanding young | ||
| Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Bailey Hall on her graduation from | ||
| Chapel Hill High School and Northeast Texas Community College and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Hall as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
