| WHEREAS, Dylan Winzer, a senior at East Chambers High School, | ||
| has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Ottawa | ||
| University in Kansas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This accomplished young athlete was a three-year | ||
| letterman for the Bucs and helped the team record an 85-15 record | ||
| and capture three district championships; over the course of his | ||
| high school career, he tallied 1,270 points and 640 rebounds and was | ||
| selected to the 2021-2022 All-District first team in addition to | ||
| garnering an Academic All-State honorable mention accolade for the | ||
| 2022-2023 season; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Lloyd and Rachel Winzer, Dylan Winzer ran | ||
| on the East Chambers cross country team and was an Academic | ||
| All-State honoree in that sport as well; in addition to playing on | ||
| the Bucs' football and baseball teams, he excelled as a member of | ||
| the track squad, qualifying for the regional meet three times; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and | ||
| perseverance, Dylan Winzer is a source of great pride to his school | ||
| and community, and he is poised for further success as he looks | ||
| ahead to his collegiate athletic career; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Dylan Winzer on signing a letter of | ||
| intent to play basketball at Ottawa University and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Winzer as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
