| WHEREAS, Christian Doby of Texas Tech University Health | ||
| Sciences Center El Paso has greatly benefited his fellow students | ||
| through his service as vice president of service of the Student | ||
| Government Association; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The TTUHSC El Paso Student Government Association | ||
| acts as the voice of the student body to the college administration, | ||
| with elected members representing the interests and concerns of | ||
| their peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization | ||
| also provides leadership and professional development | ||
| opportunities as participants strive to improve the school's social | ||
| and educational experience; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the TTUHSC El | ||
| Paso Student Government Association facilitates communication | ||
| between students, administration, faculty, staff, and community | ||
| organizations; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable | ||
| role in supporting Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El | ||
| Paso students as they develop a solid educational foundation for | ||
| future achievement, and Christian Doby is indeed worthy of | ||
| recognition; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Christian Doby for his service as vice | ||
| president of service of the Student Government Association at Texas | ||
| Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Doby as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
