H.R. No. 1448

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, During the 2020-2021 academic year, the Burleson
Independent School District has continued its proud legacy of
providing area youth with a solid educational foundation on which
to build; and
WHEREAS, Serving approximately 12,200 students, Burleson ISD
seeks to foster a challenging and supportive learning environment
where young people are equipped to excel in every aspect of their
education; the district conducts classes for prekindergarten
through 12th grade at its 18 schools and has an average
teacher-to-student ratio of one to 20; and
WHEREAS, Burleson ISD is ably guided by superintendent Bret
Jimerson, and it also benefits from the leadership of its board of
trustees, which includes president Pat Worrell, vice president
Staci Eisner, secretary Ryan Richardson, and members Shawn Minor,
Michael Ancy, Andy Pickens, and Jerri McNair; and
WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and trustees
of Burleson ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with the
knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of
society, and the district is indeed deserving of special
recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby honor the Burleson Independent School District
on a successful 2020-2021 academic year and extend to all those
associated with the district sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the district as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
