R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Grupo Frontera, a regional Mexican band based in the
  Rio Grande Valley, has gained international recognition for the
  song "Un x100to," which currently ranks No. 1 on the Billboard
  Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts; and
         WHEREAS, Officially released on April 17, 2023, "Un x100to"
  is a collaboration between Grupo Frontera and popular Puerto Rican
  artist Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who performs under the name
  "Bad Bunny"; the track features a romantic blend of cumbia and
  norteño music backed by captivating percussion and an accordion
  melody; its lyrics tell a story of love and heartbreak; and
         WHEREAS, "Un x100to" holds the top spot on the Billboard
  Global 200 chart and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for the
  week of May 6, 2023; the charts rank songs based on streaming and
  sales activity in over 200 territories around the world; prior to
  reaching No. 1, "Un x100to" ranked No. 5 on the Global 200 and No. 4
  on the Global Excl. U.S. from April 21 to 27, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Formed in Edinburg in 2022, Grupo Frontera includes
  six members, Adelaido Solís, Julian Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta,
  Carlos Zamora, Carlos Guerrero, and Juan Javier Cantu; the group
  quickly garnered the attention of a global audience with a cover of
  "No Se Va," a song by the Latin pop band Morat, and with two other
  chart-topping hits, the Carin Leon collaboration "Que Vuelvas" and
  the Fuerza Regida collaboration "Bebe Dame"; and
         WHEREAS, Among the band's many achievements, Grupo Frontera
  recently won the Latin American Music Award and performed "Un
  x100to" alongside Bad Bunny at Coachella; in addition, the track
  has ranked first in the Top 50: Global category on Spotify; and
         WHEREAS, Admired for their exceptional talents, the members
  of Grupo Frontera have won the hearts of innumerable people all over
  the world, and they are indeed deserving of special recognition for
  their accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Grupo Frontera on ranking No. 1 on
  the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts and extend to
  the group's members sincere best wishes for continued success; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Grupo Frontera as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
