R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Natalie Beasley of Buna High School placed first at
  the 29th annual Protégé High School Art Competition and Exhibition,
  which was held in Beaumont on February 27, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1986, this competition is aimed at
  encouraging high school seniors from around the Golden Triangle to
  create original artwork; out of some 140 submissions this year, 26
  pieces were selected for inclusion in a traveling art show, which
  will be displayed at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas as well as at
  regional school libraries; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Beasley earned first place with her entry, a
  graphite drawing entitled Sissy, and received a scholarship to the
  Lamar University Art Department as well as a gift certificate for
  art supplies; she is a student of Buna High art instructor Keith
  Hoke; and
         WHEREAS, Natalie Beasley has distinguished herself among the
  many talented young artists who entered this competition, and she
  is indeed a source of great pride to her family and her school; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Natalie Beasley on winning the 2015
  Protégé High School Art Competition and Exhibition and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Beasley as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
