| WHEREAS, Five members of the West High School boys' | ||
| basketball team received District 8-3A honors for their | ||
| accomplishments during the 2010-2011 season; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In recognition of their outstanding on-court | ||
| performance, Holden Sykora and Erran Mays were named to the | ||
| all-district second team, while Kevin Adkins and Justin Sepeda | ||
| earned honorable mentions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Holden Sykora further distinguished himself by | ||
| being selected for the district all-academic team, and he was | ||
| joined in that honor by his brother, Kyler Sykora; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Awards such as these are the result of hard work, | ||
| talent, and commitment to excellence, and these exemplary | ||
| student-athletes may take justifiable pride in their achievements; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate the all-district athletic and | ||
| academic honorees from the West High School Trojans basketball team | ||
| and extend to them best wishes for continued success in all their | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the players as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
