R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The 50th birthday of an esteemed Texan is truly
  cause for celebration, and Irfan Motiwala is reaching that
  significant milestone in his life on September 12, 2021; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Mumbai, India, in 1971, Mr. Motiwala and his
  brother Sajid immigrated to the United States in 1992, and they soon
  began working in a small jewelry store in Austin; and
         WHEREAS, Inspired by his role model, Warren Buffett,
  Mr. Motiwala and his brother saved enough money to open their own
  store, starting with a kiosk in Houston; in 1997, they opened Regal
  Jewelers in Victoria, and the business continues to thrive today;
  and
         WHEREAS, An American citizen since 2013, Mr. Motiwala is also
  the co-owner of Alings Chinese Bistro in Sugar Land; when he is not
  busy with his various enterprises, he delights in reading, watching
  movies, and hanging out with his children; and
         WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Irfan Motiwala may
  reflect with great satisfaction on his many achievements, and it is
  a pleasure to join his friends and loved ones in honoring him on
  this memorable occasion; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Irfan
  Motiwala on his 50th birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Motiwala as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
