WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at | ||
the loss of William Matthew Biggar of Austin, who passed away on | ||
October 4, 2024, at the age of 23; and | ||
WHEREAS, The son of Craig and Carrie France Biggar, William | ||
Biggar was born on February 26, 2001, and enjoyed the companionship | ||
of two sisters, Caroline and Catherine; he was a student at Doss | ||
Elementary School, St. Andrew's Episcopal School, and Hyde Park | ||
High School, where he received the Panther Award; upon graduation, | ||
he attended Southwestern University and played on the baseball | ||
team; he later studied at St. Edward's University; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Biggar had a passion for sports, excelling as a | ||
baseball pitcher and basketball player, and he delighted in | ||
cheering on the Texas Longhorns; spending time outdoors with | ||
friends and family brought him great joy, and he especially | ||
cherished annual trips to Lake Tahoe and outings on Lake Austin; he | ||
demonstrated a strong work ethic in all of his endeavors, including | ||
as a volunteer for political campaigns; he was also admired for his | ||
kindness, optimism, and wonderful sense of humor; and | ||
WHEREAS, Although his days were far too few, all who shared in | ||
the love and friendship of William Biggar may find comfort in their | ||
treasured memories of this special young man; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of William Matthew | ||
Biggar and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: | ||
to his parents, Craig Biggar and Carrie France Biggar; to his | ||
sisters, Caroline Biggar and Catherine Biggar; to his grandmothers, | ||
Phyllis Biggar and Lea France; to his aunts, Staci Biggar, Marci | ||
Biggar Jones, and Christie France Terry; and to his many other | ||
relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of William | ||
Biggar. |
