H.R. No. 2041

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Tyal Peterson of Petersburg High School achieved
great distinction by participating in the 2019 University
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11,
Mr. Peterson competed in the 1A discus and finished in fifth place;
and
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Tyal Peterson has
ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Tyal Peterson on participating in
the 1A discus at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Peterson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
