| WHEREAS, Aimee Edwards has been named the 2015 Teacher of the | ||
| Year at Davis Elementary School in the annual recognition program | ||
| sponsored by the Austin Independent School District; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to | ||
| become successful and productive adults, and those men and women | ||
| who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference | ||
| in the lives of their students and in the communities in which they | ||
| live; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the | ||
| walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and | ||
| Aimee Edwards has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love | ||
| of learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their | ||
| lives; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Aimee Edwards on her selection as | ||
| the 2015 Teacher of the Year at Davis Elementary School and extend | ||
| to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important | ||
| work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Edwards as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
