| WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County has been | ||
| presented with a Journey to Excellence Award by the Williamson | ||
| County Institute for Excellence in Nonprofits, and this achievement | ||
| indeed merits special recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Williamson County Institute for Excellence in | ||
| Nonprofits, which provides pro bono organizational assistance to | ||
| local service groups, established the awards program to honor | ||
| initiatives that have started down the road to higher efficiency | ||
| and effectiveness; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the leadership of executive director Debbie | ||
| Hoffman, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County brings community | ||
| volunteers together to build affordable housing for families in | ||
| need; since its founding in 1999, the organization has constructed | ||
| 59 homes for 62 families; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to empowering | ||
| families by providing them with secure and comfortable housing, and | ||
| it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the program's latest | ||
| achievement; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Habitat for Humanity of Williamson | ||
| County on its receipt of the Journey to Excellence Award and extend | ||
| to its staff and volunteers sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success in their important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Habitat for Humanity as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
