| WHEREAS, Dan Hernandez was reelected to Place 4 on the Cedar | ||
| Hill Independent School District Board of Trustees in May 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A trustee since 2002, Mr. Hernandez has served with | ||
| distinction as vice president and president of the board; prior to | ||
| his election, he supported the district through his work on a number | ||
| of committees; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Hernandez is employed by the Office of Inspector | ||
| General; a valued resident of Cedar Hill for 20 years, he has held | ||
| leadership positions with the Boy Scouts of America and with his | ||
| parish at Holy Spirit Catholic Church; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure on the board, Mr. Hernandez | ||
| has demonstrated a notable commitment to ensuring that Cedar Hill | ||
| students have the opportunity to receive an exemplary education, | ||
| and it is indeed fitting to recognize him for his dedication to | ||
| these young Texans; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Dan Hernandez | ||
| on his reelection to the Cedar Hill Independent School District | ||
| Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success with his important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
