R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Armando Martinez can take well-deserved pride in the
  outstanding service he has rendered to his community as a member of
  the San Elizario Independent School District Board of Trustees; and
         WHEREAS, In a job that requires the commitment of public
  support and effective collaboration with parents, teachers, and
  administrators, Mr. Martinez has worked tirelessly to advance the
  quality of schools in his district; and
         WHEREAS, This notable Texan served on the board from 1969 to
  1977 and subsequently returned during the construction of the new
  high school facilities in 1996; a native of San Elizario, he owned
  his own business and retired following a career of two decades with
  Utility Trailer Co.; and
         WHEREAS, Through his unwavering dedication to the students
  and staff of San Elizario ISD, Armando Martinez has helped to foster
  a supportive and challenging educational environment, and in so
  doing, he has earned the respect and appreciation of his fellow
  residents; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Armando Martinez for his service to the
  San Elizario ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
