R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Brian Nyquist, policy analyst for the House
  Committee on Public Health, has been inducted into the Alpha Tau
  chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health; and
         WHEREAS, Graduating summa cum laude with a master's degree in
  public health from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center
  School of Public Health, Mr. Nyquist earned the distinction of
  being the only member of his class inducted into this prestigious
  national society, which is limited to the top 10 percent of public
  health students; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Nyquist also holds a bachelor's degree in human
  biology from The University of Texas at Austin; while studying at
  UT, he gained invaluable experience as a research assistant and an
  undergraduate teaching assistant; he subsequently worked in
  research compliance for the Texas A&M University System and also
  processed research proposals and conducted studies on biohazardous
  materials for the TAMU Institutional Biosafety Committee for
  several years; he was later promoted to the Human Subjects
  Protection Program, for which he served as liaison for more than
  1,800 active human subject research protocols; and
         WHEREAS, In his work as a policy analyst for the House
  Committee on Public Health of the 84th Texas Legislature,
  Mr. Nyquist brings his extensive knowledge in many areas of the
  health field to advise about and help craft public health
  legislation; and
         WHEREAS, The dedicated work of Brian Nyquist greatly
  contributes to the health and well-being of the people of Texas, and
  it is a pleasure to recognize him for his many accomplishments; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Brian Nyquist on his induction into
  the Alpha Tau chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public
  Health and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Nyquist as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
