R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Candy Gibbs has distinguished herself during her 30
  years of dedicated service with Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and
  Mentoring Programs in Amarillo; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1987, Hope Choice provides support
  and mentorship to women who are experiencing an unplanned
  pregnancy; Mrs. Gibbs joined the organization as a receptionist in
  1995, and she currently serves as its executive director; over the
  years, she has helped thousands of women to choose options other
  than abortion, and during her tenure with Hope Choice, the centers
  have served more than 200,000 clients in total; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Gibbs has spearheaded the development and
  implementation of seven mentoring programs, including four
  faith-based initiatives, two youth programs, and a college
  ministry; she has also authored two parenting books as well as a
  mentoring curriculum, and in 2020, she established Rise Camp for
  students in the Panhandle; under her able leadership, Hope Choice
  has grown to include five centers; and
         WHEREAS, Candy Gibbs has played an instrumental role in
  advancing the mission of the Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and
  Mentoring Programs, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for
  her outstanding record of achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Candy Gibbs on her three decades of
  service to Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and Mentoring Programs and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Gibbs as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
