| WHEREAS, Jim Ball of the Flower Mound Police Department was | ||
| promoted to the rank of lieutenant on October 15, 2023, and this | ||
| achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law | ||
| enforcement career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball was hired by the Flower Mound Police | ||
| Department as a patrol officer in 2009; and two years later, he | ||
| became a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, and he | ||
| was promoted to sergeant in 2016; his responsibilities have | ||
| included serving as a drone pilot, and he has furthered his | ||
| professional development by earning certification as a master peace | ||
| officer; in recognition of his many contributions, he was honored | ||
| as the 2022 Sworn Supervisor of the Year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball began his career in law enforcement | ||
| in 2000 with the Irving Police Department, and from 2003 to 2009, he | ||
| was a member of the Dumas Police Department, where he held the rank | ||
| of sergeant; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication | ||
| to duty, Lieutenant Jim Ball has greatly benefited his colleagues | ||
| and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on | ||
| this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jim Ball on | ||
| attaining the rank of lieutenant with the Flower Mound Police | ||
| Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Lieutenant Ball as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
