WHEREAS, Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez in Fort Worth has been | ||
recognized with a 2024 Michelin Recommended designation by the | ||
Michelin Guide; and | ||
WHEREAS, The Recommended accolades complement the guide's | ||
Star ratings and Bib Gourmand Awards and serve to showcase | ||
restaurants that serve high-quality cuisine and provide an | ||
exceptional dining experience; recipients of the Recommended honor | ||
encompass a variety of tastes, styles, and price points, but all | ||
have distinguished themselves by meeting the stringent | ||
requirements for quality established by the Michelin Guide; and | ||
WHEREAS, Owned by Rogelio Cortez Sr., Patricia Cortez, and | ||
Rogelio Cortez Jr., Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez first earned a | ||
loyal following with its food truck before opening a | ||
brick-and-mortar location in 2021; the establishment's specialty, | ||
birria, is served in a variety of ways, including in tacos, flautas, | ||
tortas, burritos, and quesadillas; and | ||
WHEREAS, With its receipt of this prestigious honor, | ||
Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez has established itself as a shining | ||
star in Fort Worth's food scene, and its management and staff may | ||
indeed take pride in this impressive achievement; now, therefore, | ||
be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez on | ||
earning a 2024 Michelin Recommended designation and extend to all | ||
those associated with the restaurant sincere best wishes for | ||
continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
