WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate | ||
the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of | ||
our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to | ||
recognize the exemplary service of Sandra Licon; and | ||
WHEREAS, Ms. Licon has distinguished herself through her | ||
dedicated efforts as president of the San Elizario Independent | ||
School District Board of Trustees, and the skill and | ||
professionalism she has demonstrated in this important role have | ||
earned her the respect and admiration of her fellow Texans; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Ms. Licon | ||
greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she serves, and | ||
her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women | ||
seeking public office; and | ||
WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate | ||
and engaged leaders like Sandra Licon, and she may take justifiable | ||
pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example she has set | ||
for others; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby commend Sandra Licon for her service as | ||
president of the San Elizario Independent School District Board of | ||
Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued | ||
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Licon as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
