| WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by | ||
| only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by | ||
| Mario Alexis Sevilla of Fate heralds a future bright with | ||
| opportunity and promise; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sevilla has mastered a number of important | ||
| skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit | ||
| badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, | ||
| personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained | ||
| experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle | ||
| Scout project that has contributed to the betterment of his | ||
| community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A founding member of Scouts BSA Troop No. 163 in | ||
| Fate, Mr. Sevilla is the first Eagle Scout from the group; he has | ||
| ably served his peers in a designated position of responsibility, | ||
| and in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for | ||
| which Scouts are renowned; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sevilla is currently a senior at Royse City High | ||
| School; after graduation, he plans on enlisting in the U.S. Army; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for | ||
| attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Mario Sevilla has demonstrated | ||
| an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, and the | ||
| knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed | ||
| serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Mario Alexis Sevilla on | ||
| achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Sevilla as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
