| WHEREAS, John Nguyen has been named valedictorian of the | ||
| Class of 2017 at Palo Duro High School, and he indeed merits special | ||
| recognition for receiving this significant honor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; in securing his place as the | ||
| top-ranking student in his class, Mr. Nguyen demonstrated a | ||
| thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his | ||
| attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement | ||
| of a notable high school career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Chieu and Thuy Nguyen, Mr. Nguyen gained | ||
| the opportunity to address his fellow seniors at commencement and | ||
| to reflect on their shared history as well as their hopes and | ||
| ambitions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During his years at Palo Duro High, John Nguyen | ||
| earned the respect and admiration of both his teachers and | ||
| classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and commitment | ||
| to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future | ||
| for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate John Nguyen, | ||
| valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at Palo Duro High School, and | ||
| extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins | ||
| the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Nguyen as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
