| WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six | ||
| decades, Floretta and Wilbern Peden of Midland celebrated their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peden exchanged the vows of matrimony | ||
| in Childress on that memorable day in 1951, and over the course of | ||
| their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life | ||
| partner; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for 40 years, the couple count | ||
| among their blessings a fine family that includes two children, | ||
| Susan Galson and her husband, Tony, and Diane Scott, as well as six | ||
| grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with whom they | ||
| treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Floretta and | ||
| Wilbern Peden can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and | ||
| know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that | ||
| many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Floretta and | ||
| Wilbern Peden on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peden as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
