relating to the permissible wealth per student of certain school | ||
districts. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 41.002, Education Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, if | ||
a school district with a current Financial Allocation Study for | ||
Texas (FAST) rating from the comptroller of at least four stars on a | ||
five-star scale, or the equivalent of that rating under any | ||
subsequent system developed by the comptroller, has a wealth per | ||
student that exceeds the equalized wealth level, the commissioner | ||
shall consider the district to have reduced its wealth per student | ||
by an amount equal to five percent of the difference between the | ||
district's wealth per student and the equalized wealth level. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
