adoption assistance agreements. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 162.304, Family Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (k) to read as follows: | ||
(k) The department shall annually review the process the | ||
department uses to enter into adoption assistance agreements under | ||
this section. As part of its review, the department shall consider: | ||
(1) the amount of money the department has available | ||
for adoption assistance agreements; | ||
(2) the maximum amount the department is authorized to | ||
pay as a subsidy under this section and the factors the department | ||
considers in determining that amount; and | ||
(3) the factors the department considers in | ||
determining a child's eligibility for a subsidy under this section. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
