| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Sec. 292.151, Health and Safety Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | ||
| (f) For a county described in Section 292.002(1), the phrase | ||
| "institutional health care provider located in the county," as used | ||
| in subsection (a), shall include hospital services provided in any | ||
| facility located in the county, even if the hospital providing such | ||
| services is not licensed in the county. Such county may determine | ||
| the net patient revenue attributable to the facility located in the | ||
| county based on publicly available information. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
